Home Farm - Estates Refurbishment
Location: Garscube Campus, Home Farm Buildings, Bearsden, G61 1QH
Zone: 5
The Estates Refurbishment of the Home Farm buildings at Garscube campus was complete to house the relocated Garscube Estates Team (Facilities and Grounds teams). The Estates Refurbishment Home Farm project is part a larger Vet Post Mortem Project, which includes a new-built Vet Post Mortem Building and 3 new-build agricultural Equine Facilities.
This refurbishment project allowed the existing Estates teams to be relocated to Home Farm from their previous base in a modular building, which can be demolished in preparation for the next stage of the Vet Post Mortem project.
The Estates Team at Garscube were located in a modular building next to the existing Riding Arena, with the Grounds Team occupying some buildings at the Home Farm buildings to the North of the Security Gatehouse.
The refurbishment project has transformed several unused stable buildings to create office, welfare, changing and workshop spaces for the combined Estates Team at Garscube. Bringing together the Grounds staff with the Facilities and Operations teams allows for combined, improved facilities to be shared. Economies of scale are combined with modern levels of equipment, furniture and space standards to create a fit-for-purpose base for the Estates Team to better support the Garscube campus.
